Occupational Therapist
If you are an Occupational Therapist that is enthusiastic and passionate about working with children with special needs, we want to hear from you. About the role - Role is suitable for experienced Occupational Therapist and new graduate with flexibility around start date - Weekly supervision with the senior Occupational Therapist provided - Full time and part time work with flexible working hours available - Paediatric caseload of children 0-6 years with high and complex needs (including equipment prescription) - Interventions occur in clinic, schools and client homes - One-on-one interventions as well as group sessions and parent education sessions Benefits and perks - Flexible working hours, pay above award rates - Working in a supportive team of Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants - Weekly clinical supervision and mentoring as well as a yearly PD budget - Graded approach to billable targets upon commencement to allow skill development - Flexible billable hours below 5 hours/ day - Administrative and practice management support for scheduling and billing - Regular team building activities and getaways Skills and experience - Experienced OT or new grad with transferable skills in working with children - Enthusiasm about working with children and the ability to build rapport with clients and families to make therapy fun and engaging - Creativity and flexibility in thinking to adjust sessions according to children's needs - Excellent time management and organisational skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills Certifications and licences - APHRA registration - Current drivers licence and car - First Aid training Please send your applications through the message function on the website or to kat@littlehandsOT.com.au. Therapy Assistant
If you are a budding Occupational Therapist that is enthusiastic and passionate about working with children with special needs, we want to hear from you. You need to be patient, adaptable and flexible in your approach as our little people can be challenging. We are looking for someone who can commit so the children can build a long term relationship with you and do not have to adapt to change frequently. Little Hands OT has a supportive team with regular supervision and training provided for all staff. We can offer flexible working hours that can accommodate uni schedules and placements. Due to the nature of work, you will need a current licence and have a car you can use. In addition, we will need you to present a WWWP card and police check as well as a current first aid course would be mandatory but can be undertaken once you secured the position.
